TSCC News For Friday
Thank you, Lord, it’s finally Friday. And you all know what Friday means — only three more days until the second season premier of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. With less than 72 hours until our first new episode in six months, TSCC news is coming thick and fast, and the Sarah Connor Society has all the details. In honor of our last Friday before the new season, today’s TSCC New Round Up is brought to you by the Letter F.
F is for Fridays and for FOX, which has updated the official TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES website with a fierce new layout and features, including character and cast bios, episode recaps, an image gallery, wallpaper, TSCC video and episode downloads, the official “Take Back the Future” blog, and links to TSCC sites and communities across the ‘net. Drop by and check it out.
While you’re there, grab a nifty TSCC widget to share the TSCC love on your LiveJournal or Facebook, and watch the TSCC trailer from Comic Con.
Another word that begins with the letter F is Feature, as in IGN’s TSCC Season Two Preview, including inteviews with Summer Glau and Thomas Dekker — what should we expect from Season Two? “Musical numbers. Outlandish comedy. Guest appearances from RuPaul.” — another with Brian Austin Green — and what is he allowed to say about Season Two? “Season 2 is what we dreamed of doing in Season 1.” — and Seaon Two trailers and clips.
As well, reviewer Travis Fickett gives Season Two premier “Samson & Delilah” a big 9/10.
Entertainment Weekly TV critic Gillian Flynn reviews TSCC for EW’s Fall TV Preview issue (on stands now), writing:
As mother warrior Sarah Connor, Lena Headey has a perfect trench-warfare vibe: pure capability wrapped around a shimmering bundle of nerves. This season introduces Garbage singer Shirley Manson as an eerie CEO who has acquired the Turk, that ominous, world-ending computer; she reveals a nice glint of pompadoured, purry villainy. And I still enjoy the metallic mayhem of Terminator cyborg Cameron (Summer Glau) — can I ever tire of things being smashed into, removed from, or stapled onto that noggin of hers?
I’m going with “no” on that one, Ms. Flynn.
Another important F is Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson. Mother of the Future, Lena Headey, will be making a return appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday, September 12th. New castmember (and mother of we’re not sure what yet) Shirley Manson will be appearing on Wednesday, September 24th.
The Late Late Show airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on CBS. Set your VCRs and DVRs now.
No list of names beginning with F would be complete without TSCC creator Josh Friedman, who spoke to journalists with Lena Headey last week — Movieweb has a detailed transcript.
Also, Daniel Fienberg shares his impressions of Josh Friedman’s plan for the new season with Zap2it.
And if you want to know what it’s like to be a screenwriter in Hollywood, Josh Friedman gets quoted in this article from ArtistsDirect.
To help those last few days pass before Season Two beings, here’s a fistful of interviews and reviews to keep you busy.
CanMag has posted interviews with Lena Headey and Shirley Manson.
Shirley Manson also talks TSCC with Mania here.
Thomas Dekker discusses TSCC, his movie Whore and his music with TeenTelevision.
While the TVaddict interviews Brian Austin Green (and doesn’t mention Donna once).
Metromix reviews “Samson & Delilah”, noting that TSCC “perfectly illustrates two of life’s constants: robots are hot, and explosions are cool”
In IF Magazine’s opinion, “the new season kicks off with a big bang, some huge surprises and finally brings John Connor one baby-step closer to the kick-ass grizzled hero we’ve been waiting for”.
Another F word we’re familiar with at the Sarah Connor Society is fan, as in the Arnold Fans who’ve posted a “Samson & Delilah” review of their own:
“The Sarah Connor Chronicles” is still one entertaining load of television goodness. Glau’s performance in “Samson & Delilah” is the best yet.
As Sarah Connor would say “Awesome.”
On the subject of fans, 90210 (original and new flavor) star Shannen Doherty is one according to OK Magazine:
“The only thing about bringing him to 90210 is that I wouldn’t want him not on The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” Shannen explains. “He is so good and it’s one of my favorite shows. So I want him back really badly, but at the same time, I love watching that show and I love watching him in it.
TSCC is featured show on Fanart Friday on Fandomania.
And then there’s fanfiction: what goes together better than Terminators and the Apocalypse? How about Terminators, Zombies and the Apocalypse? Decide for yourself at Apocalyptothon over on LiveJournal.

In our forums, you can also find screencaps from TSCC’s Comic-Con footage as well as LQ pics from the upcoming TSCC episode “The Mousetrap” (spoilers) and discuss all things TSCC with out forum members.
Until next time, farewell.
