TSCC News For Wednesday
(riddled with plague edition)
Ugh, scary, killer, annoying robots from the future have sent a virus back in time to try and prevent this TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES news post from occurring. Fortunately for you (if not my coworkers who are threatening to re-enact key moments of “What He Beheld” if I don’t take my germs and go home), neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor the ‘flu will keep the Sarah Connor Society from bringing you the latest TSCC news from across the Internet… for at least as long as the Theraflu holds out, anyway.
First off, the Internet responds to “The Mousetrap”:
IO9 nearly won the coveted (if recently invented) “Sarah Connor Society Review of the Week” award on the strength of their title alone - “You Can’t Escape the Beastwizard! (As If You’d Want To)” but the award for this week’s best review (awarded on the totally subjective criteria of ‘I liked it best’) goes to IGN:
“As Charley, Winters does a great job playing someone who ends up caught in Sarah’s line of fire. He had the misfortune of falling in love with her when she mistakenly believed her war was over. There’s some terrific stuff in this episode where Charley tries to talk to the Sarah he knew - but finds only the soldier who needs to make the tough decisions to save John (and the future of humanity). It’s a tense and tragic episode, and most of it is carried on Winters’ more than capable shoulders.”
I couldn’t agree more.
In cast news:
Collider interviews Shirley Mason, Brian Austin Green and Josh Friedman on the TSCC Set - so, what does Manson think of her appearance on TSCC?
“I thought I looked delicious as a urinal. I’ve never seen a better looking urinal in my life.”
Or one that was more distubring.
Summer Glau and Garret Dillahunt: Talking Terminator - Dreamwatch sends an interview with our favourite terminators (sorry, Shirley!) forward in time from this summer’s TCA press tour.
Terminator’s Jones Reveals Spoilers - that’s our Agent Ellison: chasing killer robots and looking fine while doing so.
Leven Rambin plays the love interest - y’know, after what happened to Charley this week, Riley should really reconsider Catholic school.
Lena Headey’s Hair on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - stopping the apocalypse is no excuse for bad hair (I don’t care if it is the 80s).
In miscellaneous news:
Take a look at what’s on the inside of “The Mousetrap” with the official blog.
Sarah Connor May Go Net - webisodes sound like a great idea as long as l don’t have to explain it to Sarah.
Another casting spoiler from SpoilerTV - good place for it, eh?
Terminator: At Least Cyborgs Enunciate - Discover’s Science Not Fiction blog looks at the real-life science behind “The Mousetrap”.
Also from Discover: Artificial Blood: Coming To A Hospital Near You? Let’s hope Sarah Connor doesn’t have a reason to need the answer to this question any time soon (yes, Mr. Friedman, I’m looking at you).
TV Shows Boost Their LGBT Quotient - TSCC gets a mention on the Wired blog for the possibility of Human-terminator sex (although I thought Silent Latina was totally into Cameron).
How To: Terminate a Terminator - a must-read for those looking to survive Robot War or find the Connor Family that perfect gift this holiday season.
FOX Launches ‘Terminator’-themed, location-based MMORPG - MMORPG (for those of us over 30) stands for Massively-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game aka the reason why my paperwork is going undone this week. Also, John Connor appears to be standing in the middle of King and Bay - dude, I’d move before you get terminated by a streetcar.
Want your own T3 pinball machine? And really, who doesn’t? (That’s a rhetorical question btw).
Vote for TSCC in the SFX Awards - on the list of things I love about the UK, after the pubs, the people, the architecture, the countryside and waving at the Queen, is their magazines - SFX is hands down the best scifi media mag out there.
And if that’s not enough to satisfy your TSCC needs, you can always check out what’s happenin’ in the Sarah Connor Society forums, peruse our freshly updated the galleries or check out the latest entry in our fan video contest.
So, until next time (assuming I survive), don’t take any strange cell phone calls from your mother… that’s what voicemail is for.

Great roundup. I’m fighting one of those pesky cold viruses today too. We need a remedy from the future also.
